Hematopathologist – Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
May 18, 2018
The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is recruiting a full-time academic hematopathologist. The Medical Center is a 631-bed tertiary care facility and a principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
The ideal candidate should have strong diagnostic skills in tissue hematopathology as well as experience in clinical laboratory hematology. The successful candidate will join a team of hematopathologists working with laboratory administration and technical personnel to provide world-class diagnostic services in this important clinical care activity. Although this is primarily a clinical position, there are also exceptional opportunities to develop a strong, independently funded program of clinical/translational investigation in a setting that combines the resources of Harvard Medical School and its affiliated institutions with an extremely collegial, supportive and interactive environment.
Applicants must be board certified/eligible in pathology (CP or AP/CP) and Hematopathology. The candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is committed to increasing representation by women and underrepresented minorities on its faculty and we particularly encourage applications from such candidates.
