The Department of Pathology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine announces a tenure track faculty position for a physician scientist in the area of Hematopathology.
Responsibilities include maintaining an independently-supported, nationally-recognized research program, participation in the clinical diagnostic service, and providing mentorship in our graduate and residency programs. Rank will be commensurate with prior accomplishments. For qualified candidates, an endowed Chair will be available. Individuals of particular interest will have a track-record of research productivity and the potential to interact with programs in leukemia and hematopoiesis within the Cancer Center. Dedicated resources will be provided to promote a successful transition, and the University of Virginia provides a vibrant, interactive research environment.
Candidates must have M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., be board certified in Hematopathology, and be eligible to practice medicine in Virginia.
