Academic Clinical Pathologist, Laboratory Director - Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine

The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx NY, has an opening for a full-time academic clinical pathologist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The candidate should have experience and interest as a Laboratory Director, Pathology Resident training, and clinical research.

This person will help set the strategic direction for the Department of Pathology in Clinical Pathology. The person will serve as Laboratory Director at several facilities in the Montefiore Health System, and assist with directorship of our extensive Point of Care Testing program. Additional clinical responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience and academic interest. Other responsibilities include resident training, medical student teaching, and participation in translational or clinical research. Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD; a minimum of 5 years’ experience, including laboratory directorship; and be Board Certified in CP or AP/CP. Applicants must be qualified to obtain a Certificate of Qualification in New York State. Remuneration will be commensurate with rank and experience.
