Clinical Chemist and Microbiologist - Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group, Peoria, IL

Peoria Tazewell Pathology Group (PTPG) is seeking both a Clinical Microbiologist and a Clinical Chemist to join our independent private practice group and oversee sections within the clinical laboratory department. The ideal candidate will be working among a team of 15 AP/CP pathologists servicing multiple hospitals in Central Illinois and Southeast Iowa. This employee track position is immediately available. While the primary location is centered in Peoria, IL, the candidate will provide additional support to our affiliate hospitals within the region.

The ideal candidate will have experience in validation and implementation of laboratory methods, be able to interpret a spectrum of laboratory tests, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Opportunities for future medical lab directorship are available.

Qualifications:
- Applicants at any career stage are welcome to apply
- Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD
- M.D. or equivalent applicants must be board certified or eligible in clinical pathology with fellowship training in microbiology or chemistry
- Ph.D. applicants must be board certified or eligible by ABMM in microbiology or by ABCC in clinical chemistry
- For chemistry applicants, experience in clinical toxicology/liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry is required
