Academic Transfusion Medicine and Coagulation Specialist - University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking faculty members for the Division of Transfusion Medicine in the Section of Laboratory Medicine. The candidates must have an M.D. with board certification in Clinical Pathology and subspecialty certification in Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine. Substantial experience ina large hospital coagulation laboratory with a track record of academic achievement is highly desirable. The successful candidates for this position will assist in the ongoing development of transfusion medicine and coagulation, contribute significantly to the varied therapeutic and diagnostic and educational activities of the Division, and pursue clinical or translational investigations. The five member transfusion medicine division has a strong interest in clinical service, research and education and serves the entire UPMC-Health System. Academic rank, tenure and salary will be commensurate with experience. Eligibility for medical licensure or practice in Pennsylvania is required.
