Clinical Chemist - Clinical Pathologist - University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus

Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology

Position Overview:

The Department of Pathology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time clinical pathologist, or clinical scientist faculty member at an academic rank appropriate to experience. This position will require expertise in chemistry, toxicology, or both. Expertise in mass spectrometer method development is preferred.

The successful candidate will practice clinical chemistry at the UCH Clinical Laboratory. All three missions of the University of Colorado Denver, including clinical care, teaching, and scholarly productivity are expected. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and will be expected to positively interact with technical and professional colleagues, residents, and fellows at the University of Colorado Hospital and University of Colorado Department of Pathology laboratories.

Minimum Qualifications:

Clinical pathology candidates must be board certified/board eligible in clinical pathology and must be eligible for a Colorado state medical license.

Clinical scientist candidates must have a PhD degree, have completed a COMACC accredited fellowship, and be certified by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry in chemistry, toxicology, or both.

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate would be an expert in chemical pathology, including mass spectrometer method development. They will also be proficient in their clinical, administrative, and teaching abilities.
