Clinical Pathologist/Clinical Chemist - ARUP Automated Core Laboratories - University of Utah
The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and ARUP Laboratories is seeking applicants with the skills and interest to develop a strong academic career focused on clinical chemistry and automated clinical laboratory testing. The successful applicant will have experience in core clinical laboratory testing, clinical assay development and validation, quality control and quality assurance, interpretation of laboratory test results, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers. Experience with total laboratory automation is highly desirable.
Applicants require a MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree. MD candidates should be board certified or eligible in clinical pathology by ABP. PhD candidates should be board certified or eligible by ABCC. The successful candidate will have clinical and administrative responsibilities in the Chemistry Division of ARUP Laboratories and he/she will be expected to contribute to our research and teaching missions. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
