Medical Director, Hemostasis and Thrombosis - Cleveland Clinic

The Cleveland Clinic is recruiting an academic pathologist to join the Professional Staff of the Robert J. Tomisch Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute Section of Hematopathology as Medical Director for Hemostasis and Thrombosis. Candidates must be certified in CP or combined AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology with demonstrated expertise and academic track record in hemostasis and thrombosis. The successful candidate will join and lead an active group of four hematopathologists in our hemostasis and thrombosis service. The Hematopathology Section provides expert diagnostic and consultative services for the Cleveland Clinic Health System (CCHS) and is the central laboratory for CCHS hospitals in northeast Ohio. World renowned medical and surgical specialty clinical services drive a vibrant and busy laboratory environment. Laboratories in the Section include the automated hematology/coagulation, manual hematology/coagulation, and flow cytometry laboratories. The Section also supports a robust external consultative practice. The Section of Hematopathology is a dynamic, collaborative group of ten hematopathologists and there is ample opportunity and support for clinical and translational research as well as teaching of students, residents, fellows, and allied health staff. An academic appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University is available and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
