Immunology Laboratory Director - ARUP Laboratories, Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine
The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and ARUP Laboratories is seeking applicants with the skills and interest to develop a strong academic career focused on clinical immunology laboratory testing. The successful applicant will have experience in clinical diagnostic testing, clinical assay development and validation, quality control and quality assurance, interpretation of laboratory test results, and consultation with physicians and other health care providers, as related to clinical immunology.
ARUP is a full service, high complexity reference laboratory with clients from more than half of the nation’s university teaching and children’s hospitals, major commercial laboratories, military and government facilities, and many community hospitals. As such, the laboratory sees a broad range of specimen types and indications for testing and offers a range of testing options from traditional techniques to esoteric testing.
Applicants require a MD, MD/PhD, or PhD degree. MD candidates should be board certified or eligible in clinical pathology by ABP. PhD candidates should be board certified or eligible by ABMLI, ABMM, or ABCC. The successful candidate will have clinical and administrative responsibilities in the Immunology Division of ARUP Laboratories and he/she will be expected to contribute to our research and teaching missions. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
